Mr. Coghlan was employed by Charles F. Bird & Associates as a surveying technician while attending college. Upon graduation, Mr. Coghlan worked in industry as a plant engineer for Dayton Process, Dayton, Ohio. He then rejoined Bird+Bull as a design engineer in 1971, and obtained his registration as a professional engineer in 1975. He has developed particular competence in civil engineering projects involving municipal studies and treatment facilities as well as land planning and subdivision development. He was named a principal of the firm in 1978 and he currently oversees the planning and design of municipal projects including funding issues and governmental applications. His responsibilities with the firm include business management and coordinating the municipal staff's projects.
